An argument is an opportunity for both people to express their opinions of feelings and also hear what the other person is thinking. Good arguments can be healthy for a relationship.

If the participants do this and avoid being insulting or mean, the relationship can easily continue on as if nothing happened.

If you want to maintain a relationship, always express your own feelings ("that upsets me") or discuss facts, and avoid labeling or insulting remarks.
