It is an amusing irony that homosexuals are accused by the god botherers of "recruiting" straight people to become gay when in actual fact, *they* are the ones that mount the recruitment drives. I don’t know of anyone who has ever had gay people knock on the front door to tell me about how great it is being gay and I should convert.
If people believe unequivocally that they are right, they feel justified in sharing this enlightenment with those of us who are on the “wrong” path. Faith is belief in something regardless of any lack of evidence to back that belief and often flying in the face of sound evidence to the contrary. Don’t expect any logic. They can twist their “compassion” and “love” around to justify murder and hatred and whatever else they like. It can’t be questioned because, conveniently, you can’t question faith. Contradictions in the bible are either dismissed as man’s inability to understand the infinite wisdom of god, or explained away with complex reinterpretation – “yes, it *sys* that but what it *means* is ….”
Whether they come to this part of Y!A to try and save those of us they regard as in need of it, whether they want to make a point, get a reaction, or whether they need more points so they can get a seat closer to the front in heaven I can’t say. I tend to ignore them because most of the “questions” asked are actually just statements that have been reworded. They have no interest in an “answer” since they already have it.

Many feel that this is an area where they can be sharing their version of the truth with everyone, and since this is one issue they feel most strongly about, they feel it is doing good...So, they come over here...
Not all "religious people" are like that, though...The Bible says an awful lot of great things, provided you do not twist it to make it fit what you want (homosexuality is wrong, dancing is wrong, drinking alcohol at all is wrong, etc.)

It's not only this section, it's all of them. I sincerely believe that religionists of whatever ilk are obsessed with sin; mainly what they perceive as other peoples. But what really motivates them is the nagging feeling that somewhere, somehow, there is fun to be had, and they weren't invited. So far, that's the only thing they're right about.

In that way you could exchange issues for the greater desirable. Can the feminists exchange something in right here? sure. greater desirable than you think of. some men and gals do visit in right here specifically circumstances out of curosity and that they learn from the innovations published by employing the regulars. are you able to modify the trolls? it extremely is not that possibly. it extremely is tough to alter a closed ideas yet its constantly conceivable to augment one that is 0.5 opened or thoroughly opened.

It is out of hatred, the new Human Rights Commission who are duty bound to fight for the rights of Gay and Lesbian people have just appointed a Religious Homophobe on their board.
How can they truly discuss Gay rights cases knowing one of their number thinks homosexuals are an abomanation to humanity.
We just have to be true to ourselves, and keep reporting the abusers to Yahoo.

They did, and I usually ignore them, but one questioner a little while a go just got on my nerves bad enough that I had to go get my Bible out too. I'm not a Christian, but I can read.

Yet, many of them complain when atheists post questions and answers in R&S. Some of them seem to think that they're the only ones with rights. It's pretty disgusting.

They come here because they know that setting up some rally will be pointless. They'll be 100 of them, and 100,000 of us. Plus they're just a bunch of cowards who are too afraid and ashamed to show their faces in public.

Because they think we don't already know what the Bible says. Maybe they think we need help finding the light of God because of our sexual orientations. =P

Because they've convinced themselves that they know what god wants and doesn't want and have forgotten about the part of christianity that supports compassion, love, acceptance and says that god loves everyone.
