Due to the strength of the Organization that he is the front puppet for. They wield extraordinary power and influence and are brimming with cash. It became all to apparent when the devious bastard he named as the head of his Vice Presidential search committee named himself as the chosen candidate, Yep that calculating, corrupt, maniacal criminal, DICK cheney. Your point about utter incompetence is especially poignant, they put the Cater administration to shame in this department. Most of America has been sleeping for almost 7 years, time for the wake up call.

Because the charge that he's about "deliberate miss truths&utter incompetance" simply can't be supported with any facts. That's how. Has he been perfect, no, he's made mistakes, he's also been steadfast in defending this country against the threat of world wide domination of radical Islamic Fascism.

That incompetence plays into the hands of the Democrats. The Democrats will use that incompetency, the lies, the corruption, arrogance, and greed of the Administration and their supporters against the Republicans. I won't be surprised at a Democratic landslide next year.
