Is it against regulations to post a question asking about my own avatar? I posted a ques a little bit ago asking if my avatar and name was dumb (I had a black and white checkered background a lil bit ago,I just changed it). Then I went back to check it and it was removed and in my email I got 2 violation notices about the same ques...whats that about!!??

Where did you post the question? Maybe you should have posted it under polls and surveys. I have had some thing similar happen to me when I posted a question in the wrong area. (I was told that it was not a question...). Unfortunately there is no appeals process.

"Violations" seem to be arbitrary without any real reason or rationale. Just a few days I answered a question with one word: "Wow"....and got a Violations Notice!!
The "question" was about a U.S. soldier who had been injured. While home recuperating, his family was in an auto accident and they lost three of their young children.
Their entire community came together to help and support this family, including big corporations like American Airlines who provided air fare, Hertz who provided rental cars, and other companies. I was awestruck by the story, and my "answer" consisted of one word: "Wow".
Then I got a Violations Notice claiming that "Wow" was neither a question or an answer!! I guess someone sequestered in a windowless computer room is the 'decider' who determines who and how Violations Notices are issues. It seems unfair, especially when you consider all the vulgarity, insults, coarse language and stupidity that spews forth on this forum every day. -RKO- 11/25/07

In the violation notices was a link to the Guidelines.

Why didn't you read them? They explicitly say that "Do you like my avatar?" IS a violation.

This isn't a chat site. It's for questions and answers. If you want feedback on your avatar and screen name, create a 360 account and conduct a poll there.

I don't know. Maybe the way you asked it violated the CG. Read them again to give you the answer. It can be iffy in here. I got a notice once for correcting someone's spelling. But in all fairness, they've gotten really good at quickly removing the horrible questions and answers, too.

final week for inquiring for prayers--it grew to become right into a question. I blocked the only man or woman who suggested that they concept it grew to become right into a contravention and had different clients assure me that it grew to become into no longer. I examine over the section approximately solicitation which grew to become into of course framed to rule out people who're promoting some thing and appealed and grew to become into denied. I suggested that i had no longer earnings reason. in simple terms FYI i might in no way have suggested anybody for asking a question approximately Darwinism or athieism, or the different team. I definitely have given terrific answer to a wiccan on one in all my questions and a Muslim, becuase they of course had the terrific answer. I help the perfect of anybody here to ask a deferential question from thier attitude. i'm saddened to verify what others here have been suggested for it sort of feels recommend lively. i presumed with the recent warnings approximately reporting too plenty or lightly human beings could desire to get in complication and it might stop a number of this. yet curiously no longer.

Yeah, I post things like "Who wants 10 points?" and "Banana" as answers lols, and they get removed, I think because they're pointless.
