I dont know much about astronomy or archeology, but upon just looking at various images of the "face" and pyramidal structures on Mars and comparing them with similar structures on Earth, the objects on Mars definately seem to warrant full investigation! (To say nothing about images that appear to be glass/metallic tunnels and possibly even crashed aircraft of some kind (I'm a pretty harsh critic, and I had a rough time explaining that one!) What do you think about these things? (U can use most search engines to look at any of these things!)

Because an overflight especially designed to see if they were alien artifacts found that that they were low lying hills catching th sunlight,
It should be noted that scienists would have been wildly ecstatic had the face on mars been shown to be - well, exactly that. It would have provided enormous financial boosting and brought forward a mission to mars by years.

Science thinks that the pyramids are a natural occurrance on mars along with the face, Nasa and science have studied these things and simply believe them to be of natural cause as seen by Mars global surveyor, One thing they can not explain is the clear looking tunnels that stretch accross the red planet for miles,, It will be interesting to see all the facts once they are investigated,,

Right now, NASA and ESA have a big problem: The international space station ISS. In fact, many details, officially designed for the ISS are parts needed for a trip to mars. But since the ISS has cost a lot of money, they first need to show some results.
But soon, NASA and ESA will travel to the mars.

Because they know what the general public just refuses to accept - that there are no "pyramids" and there is no "face". It's always popular to propose that NASA is hiding things from us, or lying to us, because the truth that they are not doing so is just boring. We'll get there eventually, and what those things actually are will be learned, and we will be told. NASA is not in the business of keeping us in the dark, but rather of bringing us into the light of knowledge.

In 1996, NASA finally sent a probe, the Mars Global Surveyor, with the mission of mapping the entire surface of Mars. This project took it a couple of years. In April 1998, it provided more detailed photos of the Face and the Pyramid. They were revealed to be nothing more than naturally occurring mountains.

Because they know there is no life on Mars. All the missions and rovers haven´t been able to present evidence of it, however NASA is sending more missions to investigate the matter because they think there is a small possiblity that life exists near the poles.

They have done some further investigation of the "face", in the form of high-resolution photography of the feature ( http://www.msss.com/mars_images/moc/extended_may2001/face/index.html ), and found that the face was just a trick of the light. Perhaps Hoagland would like to take on some more convincing formations right here on Earth. This one - http://www.franconianotchstatepark.com/oldman.html - for example, though unfortunately it is no longer there. Perhaps the fairies took it down?

After you see the "face" on EARTH, you will be none too impressed with the one on Mars. Despite Hoagland's insistence, the one on Mars is not artificial. Just like the one in Canada is just contours in a badlands area. I'll try to get the coordinates for you so you can see it on Google Earth.

I've seen the photos and the nonsense that Hoagland spouts about that and some other things. It's tin foil hat territory folks.
Not worthy of more than 30 minutes attention.

Because its simpiler to blow something off rather than investigate a possibility they don't want to happen, they say it showed up due to bad lighting, but why then did NASA neglect to re-photograph the area with the same probe to prove their point?
And sure, mabye some of the more eroded pyramids if they were alone could be nautral, but they are not alone, what are the chances of these forming next to the "face" as well as distinct pyramids, including a 5 sided one?
