You know, deciding what to buy, spending all your hard-earned cash, running up credit card debts. It's no wonder Christmas shopping is starting earlier and earlier. It's just corporate greed that's making you turn into a consumer robot and an unhappy debtor.

I haven't celebrated Christmas in many years. I have also worked in merchandising and sales, and had to work with people celebrating Christmas in order to make my sales.

I don't celebrate because the Bible says not to (Jer 2:10). If you go to wikipedia, it will tell you all the pagan traditions that are associated with Christmas.

And yes. The entire world of merchandising is drooling, waiting for this season so they can sell, sell, sell. It's all about money for them.

I can understand giving gifts to people you love. I even give gifts sometimes in December when the kids are out of school and need something to keep them occupied.

Christmas to me is un-Christian, $$$, mass marketing and commericalism. Why should I participate in that?

I have noticed that a lot of the prices of toys and stuff have been raised a little more and more every year!! Seams like the cost of everything has gone up!! Just have to be a little more frugal and watch where your money goes! But yes Christmas is still fun you just have to be careful where you spend you money and on what, also take advantage of free or low cost things to do with the family!

Christmas (Yule) is still fun. No little kids anymore to buy for. But celebrating, bringng light and joy to the dark winter days with friends and neighbors shows what the old religion was all about.

Buy heartfelt gifts for a few people you really care about. Send the compromise feeling to the trash can, and SHARE. That will make your Christmas funnier.

Commercial!!! Our local Chili's restaurant had their x-mas lights on and Walmart was playing x-mas music before Halloween this year! I understand that people want to be prepared for the holiday rush, but come on! It's ridiculous!
