Last night someone smashed my side mirrors. One of them is just broken on the mirror part and the body of the side mirror frame is good. I was wondering if I can just buy the mirror that goes inside, instead of buying a whole side mirror. Another thing is that my cars side mirrors arent electric, they are manual so it should be easier.

all depends how the mirror is made, some of them you can replace the glass and others you can't, it's just as easy to replace the whole mirror and if you get one from the junkyard it won't cost very much at all.

Depends on the make of the car. Some the mirror glass just snaps into holders. When broke, just remove the old, snap in a new.

But there are some where the glass is part of the whole mirror. In turn having to have the entire side mirror and casing replaced.

Call up the parts department for your make of car and ask. They can right away tell you if its just mirror or the entire thing.

Yes you can just replace the mirror. Not the actual mirror, but the mirror and the black back plate it is attached to. Someone smashed my driver side mirror and I had to replace the mirror and the back plate. It was cheap and easy to do. It only cost about $27. Call an auto parts store and have them order you one... or go directly through a dealer. Usually only takes a week or less to get there.

YOU CAN GET JUST THE REPLACEMENT AT ANY AUTO PARTS STORE BUT DON'T USE SILICONE BECAUSE IT WILL EAT THE BACK COATING OFF THE MIRROR.

Check with the dealer's parts people. Some can be repaired and some can't. Only your dealer can tell you for sure.
