Since I founded the system, (As far as I know), I get to describe the charact6eristics of this new sun sign and the people who now belong to it.
Ophiuchus is a chararter of uncertain origin, but a common theme is that the person of original myth was a decent, honest fellow, and a healer. (Gosh, I wonder if the Caduceus is related to this.)
Anyway, Ophiuchus is shown slaying (or fighting with) the serpent, with the head in one hand and the tail in the other. The head is superstition and the tail is ignorance. Ophiuchans are truth-seekers. They are natural born learners and teachers. They are skeptics who demand evidence and challenge extraordinary claims. Consequently, they are people who would reject all such nonsense, so Ophiuchus will, by its own description, be somewhat of an orphan sign.

I think Ophiuchus is a hot air sign. Evidence from an article I read on the www.nasa.gov site. Every early December an interstellar wind hits our planet. Excerpts of the article below:

"Every year in early December, something happens that can throw your horoscope out of whack. The sun enters Ophiuchus, the little-known 13th house of the zodiac....

This story is about what really happens when the sun enters the zodiac's 13th house: An interstellar wind hits our planet.

It's a helium-rich breeze from the stars, flowing into the solar system from the direction of Ophiuchus. The sun's gravity focuses the material into a cone and Earth passes through it during the first weeks of December."

We'll be inside that cone in about a week.

You have a natural affinity for reptiles and should apply for the crocodile wrangler's job at a certain zoo just north of Brisbane, Australia.
