Personally, I think it's HORRIBLE that your son at the age of TEN would have to worry about people thinking he's gay. When I was 10, I was afraid to even say the word "gay." And that was only three years ago. There is nothing wrong with your son likeing Hello Kitty, It's a really cute thing. I've seen a lot of guys that like something girly, and only one of them was gay. Don't worry about it, and let him know that he should feel free to express himself in a way that HE wants to. Don't let him think that his friends or anyone can label him, because you know what? THEY DON'T KNOW HIM! Screw anyone who tries to judge us, just because of what we wear, what we like, our hair, who we hang out with, I could go on and on. The people who really deserve to be labeled are the people that label other people. Sorry, I'm preaching again, but things like this make me a little angry.

Hello Kitty Question? Ok so when I was little (probably around 2003) I had a hello kitty DVD that had two episodes of hello kitty and two with those frog things. There was one episode where hello kitty and her sister I think it was were going to a birthday party and got lost in the forest and they meet this king and queen who's son and daughter have a curse on them and they're asleep and the two Kitties rescue them. The next is where hello kitty is on a field trip and gets lost in a castle and meets a prince. I don't remember a lot and I might be getting some of it wrong, but if any one can tell me the name of the DVD or episodes or tell me where I can find then if be very thankful.

Personally if it was my son I would attempt to perswaid him from wearing it for that very reason but if he would like to wear it you probably shouldn't deny him of that. It is important to be supportive of his likes and dislikes so you dont unattentionally hurt his self esteem. This is a very hard thing to do becuase we dont want other kids to ridicule him. Maybe there is a wa to discuss this with hm and maybe just enjoy hello kitty after school that way the other kids dont find out. We all know how mean kids are.

No, no one should like Hello Kitty. I abhor the Hello Kitty store. I really do. It's what's exactly wrong with the world today. Buy more Zombies, Marvel Zombies.

Ten is a little old to be liking Hello Kitty. Most boys at that age are into super heroes, sports teams, NASCAR, wrestling etc. If he wears Hello Kitty, his friends will tease him. There's nothing wrong with him liking feminine things (or being gay for that matter) but he will have to learn how to handle the criticism.

I really dont know what to say.
When i was younger i was into girly things such as
-The Little Mermaid
- Sailor Moon
- AND BARBIE!

I am now 15, and am finding my sexuality, it seems i have i preference for men.

Dont deny him of HelloKitty, but just keep a close eye on him, if you want to prevent him from becoming gay.

I dont know, maybe my femenine side was coinsidential to me becoming gay.
Hope i helped!

ALSO. Maybe its just a stage.
He may be feeling as if no girls really like him?

I suppose it's a bit strange - but the manufacturers Sanrio do a lot of other characters in the same style that are a bit more boyish

It's a shame that at the age of ten, he has to concern himself with other people thinking he is gay.
