It is never wrong to be supportive of others efforts, i.e. be positive or enthusiastic. And grief is the one emotion that is unavoidable for all of us, no matter how detached and rational we may be.

But, all 'feelings' - like perceptions, thoughts and reactions are based on one's conditioned belief system which is ALWAYS inappropriate until you have transcended that indoctrination and returned to authentic being.

If you are "protecting the truth" you may have to be vehement, or if you are expressing love you may need to demonstrate your feelings.

But, the learned ego is tricky and it's feelings almost always problematic until you can observe the patterns and discern the difference between authentic being and the little conditioned identity which projects its defects on to others and is EXCESSIVELY attached to expressing resentment.

Reality mirrors the contents of consciousness. We are causing what is happening to us through our subconscious beliefs about self and the world. Grasping that, our experience of reality (relationship with others) becomes a fail safe system for psychological growth.

I don't think a universal yes or no is the correct answer. I believe that generally it's good to show your feelings, but often there are times when it can bite you. I'd say it depends on the situation because showing your feelings can sometimes have a negative impact on others, yourself, and something of great consequence.

I'm sure you don't mean "Is it EVER wrong to show your feelings" (obviously, sometimes). You must mean ... is it ever RIGHT to show your feelings.

And the answer, of course, is yes, and more often than you'd think. People who think they are sparing anyone by hiding their feelings are not giving those around them the credit of being perceptive. If someone is hiding their feelings, we almost always sense it -- but if you don't tell and show people how you feel, they end up misinterpreting things. Then you find yourself living in the equivalent of a sitcom.

Do you feel like you do not want to show your feelings?

Feeling A is the feeling that it is "wrong" to show feelings B.

Feelings B are feelings that you will decide to "show" or not.

When you decide not to show feelings B and instead show feeling A (by the act of not showing feelings B) then effectively you are still doing what you feel like, and therefore showing your feelings (feelings A).

Nothing is absolutely "wrong" or "right" - it is a matter of your individual perspective, and your individual perspective will dictate to you what feels "right" or "wrong." The purpose of your question really is to get us to convince you to "feel" like showing your feelings or not. In order to do this our answers must appeal to your own unique personality.

No better to know the truth....I remember when was younger I had two crushes and I told both Guys hehehe and they did not feel the same and I was grateful for their truths in the end I will find the person that was meant to be with :)))

Its great to express your feelings but some people have a problem expressing themselves and they should never feel that way being expressive and dramatic is a good thing :)))

no
if you want to show them, then show them
the only thing that can happen is people form opinions around your emotions which skips past your main personality

if you want to cry, then cry
if your concerned somebody will see you as weak
that's probably a weakness anyway
if you want to get angry and critique something
and you're worried that people will react negatively
then maybe you know yourself it's not the best opinion

the only problem with showing emotions is the preconception of how other people will see you
i don't think social approval should interfere with being who you are and whatever you are at any given moment
society really causes a lot of problems that manipulate whatever it is you need to be

Only if you retaliate and hurt someone. Showing your feelings isn't wrong, if you only show your feelings. It depends on how much you want other people to know about you.

That depends on the social situation you are in. In the privacy of your own home, showing your emotions can be a good thing, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone or anything.
In public, the old saying goes: "Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone."

it depends on the situation, while feelings and the showing of them are not in theirselfs wrong, sometimes the timing or location is not appropriate
for instance, extreme anger at work, fustration with a little child etc etc
