How can you be unique?
How can you be authentic?
How can you be original?

How can you do something new.....how can you NOT copy. How can you do something new?

Hasn't everything already been done?

I was just reading an article about becoming unique and authentic and irreplacable...and I started wondering....how???

Humans have many levels of "being", not just the physical and not just the "left brain"/ego aspect. To achieve/experience what you seek, which is an extremely wise desire, the traditional means are through "the esoteric" arts/practices such as meditation, yoga, "energy work" such as chi kung, jin shin jyutsu, Reiki, etc.

Congrats on having had the insight to be curious enough to be looking for such "answers".

To become one who really seeks to maximize your potential as a human places you in the upper 5% of the species. Most, sadly, having been thoroughly and successfully brainwashed by "the powers that be" settle for a life of consumerism, greed and little or no introspection.

Here are some sites that might be helpful:

http://www.sahajayoga.com will help to put you into a meditative state so that you can experience the benefits.

http://theamericanmonk.com Just do the free stuff, but do supply five names so you can access "bhaga" ---- mind blowing. You'll see what i mean when you get there.

http://www.lightworkers.org Plenty there to help with your questions.

And read *The Complete Idiot's Guide to Toltec Wisdom* A very thoroughgoing work on human potential, and practices to help you achieve the best.

You're really on the right track, don't be "sidetracked". (especially by fundamentalist christian rhetoric) Best of Luck :))

I know how you feel. I often feel the same way. The best that we can do is be authentic, unique and original for us.

Here is one I am working on. A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.

After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.

Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.

I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.

I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.

If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.

I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.

Love and blessings

Your brother

Every adept who has every lived and taught has presented a path/way to achieve this.

Only transcending (emptying of) the conditioned ego identity (indoctrinated belief system) can you return to your essential or authentic nature, also called the Christ Self.

What you authentically love - the abstract experience that would mean 'full aliveness' to you - is the truth that will set you free and allow you to make your unique contribution.

You CANNOT think it up, you have to simply return to BEING yourSelf.

you are already all of those things, to bring that part "out", open your mind and think, consider all of life, read and listen to what others say, ask yourself if you agree or not, or if you have anything else to add to it, question, observe, in doing all of this, you will find your own original approach to life and thought, some parts of you may be very similar to other people, yet in many things you will have your own unique take on it, your personal spin
even if you are doing things/thinking thoughts that others have done, it wont be exactly the same

Discover your individuality.
Fulfill your individuality.
The answers are in the intimate details of your private life.
You leave your unique signature on all that you create, hold and pass on to the world.
You...doing what has already been done...in your own unique way...create something that can never be duplicated.
Old truth becomes new truth.

All you have to do to be unique and authentic is be yourself. :)

This comes through exploration of all things. The way you interpret things and put them all together makes you who you are. Certainly, do not believe things just because someone tells you they are so.

authenticity is sizzling. such a lot persons can't be themselves, above all in courting occasions, so kudos to you for no longer hiding in the back of a masks. that mentioned, i've a tough time being respectable at all times, so a lady like that might frequently intimidate me, although she's gorgeous.
