For now:

It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry

It's a feel good song. I've been a Dylan fan for too long now. My favorite song changes weekly. Albums I recommend: Highway 61, New Morning Sessions, The Freewheelin', or John Wesley Harding.

since there at least a dozen obvious choices, i'm going to pick a relatively obscure one,"Never Say Goodbye",from the "Planet Waves"album.sample lyrics:,"twilight on the frozen lake, north wind about to break",and "you're beautiful to me,beautiful beyond words".it was great to hear him just sounding happy for a change!it's a beautiful love song.but for sheer power,"Blowin' in the Wind" has to be mentioned.just one man with a guitar and a song crystallized and galvanized an entire nation. it became the anthem for the civil rights movement.you could look it up and see!

I love lots of his songs that he wrote, but not him as a singer with one exception, and that song is "Lay Lady Lay". The only one he sings that I like.
