I like to pick up the mouse, pretend its a microphone, and talk to it like it can hear me better. Usually works.

It is a machine, with no capabilities to comprehend my feelings. I remember that all the time. When it freezes or crawls, I take a break to stretch out and come back.
If there is no improvement, simply reboot it.
For the records, I have yelled at it sometimes, even at my bike. Doing so only got my stress levels up the roof. I gave up yelilng at machines.

I never needed to shout at my computer ever since I installed Linux on it. Linux never gives problems.
