I am having a party for about 20 of my close friends...I like things that are off-beat and a little crazy...but also take minimal supplies/preparation. I've done a pretty comprehensive online search, so I'd appreciate YOUR ideas not just links to webpages. I've already got charades/pictionary type games and I'm looking for something creative that will make us all laugh! Thank you for your input!

I'm not sure exactly the age of your group or the type of people they are but beer pong and drinking (card) games always work. You could look into some more adult themed games like Dirty Minds, which is always a blast.

I know my parents host a Christmas bunco party every year for some of their closest friends and they seem to have a good time.

Also look into a white elephant gift exchange (also called Yankee Swap, Scottish Gift Exchange, Thieving Secret Santa, Dirty Santa, or Chinese Gift Exchange) is a popular party game usually played during the Christmas season in the United States. The premise of the game is that each guest contributes one gift to the game, and ultimately each guest walks away with one different gift from the game. The type of gift is sometimes decided ahead of time (eg. "something less than $5," "a used but cherished item from home," "a favorite DVD," etc.). If the type of gift is not specified, ask the host what the plan is - many times the gifts are supposed to be "gag gifts" or oddities rather than anything expensive or meaningful.

Just make sure you have good food, music, and enjoy the time with your friends! It also might be fun to have everyone dress up in x-mas gear.

If you search for bowtie christmas party games on google or yahoo you should get to a bowtieproducts site that will give you 4 new original games that will help make your nite fun.

Some of the games especially Sandys Christmas Carol game can be adjusted for nearly any age 8 and up.

For parties mixers like this work because they give folks something to do while they get warmed up to each other. if they want to talk, they can talk, but if conversatrion lags games like these take up the awkward silences that many of us dread.

Whats nice is that people don't all have to be in it to enjoy it. Some can just help out if asked or enjoy the groans of the answer section.

If links work in the answer blocks here's the link

there is also some party giving advice you may enjoy.

My wife and I made up the puzzles and many people really enjoy them.

I hope they work out well for you

You could do a massive game of human Cludo! Set up a murder and everything, and have everyone figure it out. Your ideas are also good, you should do those.
