This is a tuff one. They were both great bands, and I have seen them both in concert. As far as music and time frame it is the Beetles. As far as rock shows it is most defiantly the Stones.

I like The Beatles more then the Rolling Stones. In my opinion The Beatles influenced many more bands then the Stones. The Beatles were the youngest band to debut a number 1 album until McFly beat them! (I love McFly) Which i respect so much because that just comes to show that not every band just sings about a girl that they can't get. The Rolling Stones on the other hand, are a great rock legend. That was a tough question, it was really hard to choose between to brilliant music legends. Which one do you like best?

THE ROLLING STONES

I think they influenced rock even more than The Beatles and have remained so for more than 40 years. They reinvent themselves year by year and have an amazing show, keep on performing.
The Beatles for me as more of a legend, they do have some great songs... but are highly overrated and broke up too fast to be compared to the Stones.
I know what I am saying is not "politically correct" but I have seen The Stones in concert and they are one of the best ever and I listen to their music very much still, whereas The Beatles only from time to time.

i'm just gonna say 2 things it really WAS "the Beatles and The Stones",everyone else took a back seat.the anticipation for an upcoming release was insane.i think it crescendo's when "the White Album" and "Beggar's Banquet" came out the same week the summer of '68.it felt like that was the only music played for a couple months.the other thing is, i feel that as the beatles retreated into the studio the songs got better and more complicated, they realized they wouldn't be able to do them justice live,at the same time the Stones, with the help of the better P.A. systems and stage amplifiers that became available, indisputably became the best live band.

The Beatles were truly something unique. I Am the Walrus, Strawberry Fields, A Day In the Life, Helter Skelter... they were amazing and creative. Then on the other hand you have the Rolling Stones who are pretty cool and catchy, but all they can think about is se x, while the Beatles changed the history of music.

The Beatles, without a doubt. I haven't listened to the Rolling Stones much, though, but they do have a fw good songs. Cannot beat the Beatles, though.

Beatles <3

The Beatles wrote more classic songs in 8 years than the Stones have in 44 years. So it has to be the Beatles.

Difficult question, the Beatles were cleverer and had a much greater range of styles over their time together. (Compare She Loves Me with I Am The Walrus, you'll see what I mean)
The Stones were louder, more in your face and have proved to have some serious longevity.
As someone who primarily listens to metal, I prefer the Stones because of the louder style.
