i really want a piranha please help me im not so sure its legal so help me please i have enough money to buy two piranhas and the one who convinces me to buy it gets to be the best answerer

It is not illegal to buy pet piranhas. My friend had like 10 of them in a 100 gallon tank and they did fine. Sadly they all died. Yep sure buy pirahnas why not. YOu can feed them frozen shrimps or any meat. DOnt stick your finger in the water they BITE!@!

RBP are illegal in some states without the correct paper work. In NY they are, and i have one
I think ur the group of people that want them to show off.
FROM EXPERIENCE LET ME TELL U THEY ARENT EXCITING. They sit there and do nothing. They arent what people think they are.
that great u have the money.. what size tank do u plan on getting.
I hope over 100 gallons for two piranhas.
so while the fish might actually cost all but 20 dollars. do u have enough for a new setup , canister filter, etc..

Piranhas are not endangered, and sold at larger pet stores, or can be shipped to you via online.
They make great fish pets, but have a tendency to have a lot of eye health issues...I have seen many eyeless piranhas over the years...the just fall out when they are not healthy.
Usually PetSmart and PetCo don't keep these in stock. You will likely need to try other lesser known pet shops to find your new friends!
And yes, they make poor pets.

It depends on where you live, and what type of piranhas you want to buy. They really aren't great pets though, as they will create a huge mess inside your aquarium. You will have to be diligent in your aquarium maintenance to keep up your water quality, and maintain the health of your fish.

i had friends who had piranhas once. they always bought little goldfish once in a while and fed them to the piranhas. They just put the live little goldfish in the tank, the next morning all the goldfish would be gone. its a decently cheap food too, you can get goldfish for 12 cents at walmart or petsmart.

Actually it depends on where you live. And they are NOT good pets.
