yes I cover things with kitchen towels all the time and often set things on a kitchen towel if I think they might spill over - makes the turntable easier to clean.

You mean to cover something to stop it splashing all over the inside of the m/w? Yes but you may find you have soggy kitchen towel when you are done.

Yes of course. My Mum wraps potatoes loosely in kitchen towel before she "bakes" them to absorb moisture.

Yes you can, I always wrap jacket potaoes in it to cook them in the microwave. However my sis used Bounty kitchen roll and it caught light! Never had any problems myself but I don't use Bounty.

cant you just buy clingfilm. a kitchen towel will probibly burn all over your food
