You make a few good points, however the enemy is being bred there by terrorist teachers and teachings found in the koran. The US involvment in trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again, is hardly justification for these newly made warriors to test their meddle.
Your assumption that terrorists come only from the states mentioned is errouneous. Libya, Iran, and almost all Arab states have people joining their cause, some independent and some state sponsored. Yet, if the US were to withdraw, new sides would need to be drawn because this thing would certainly erupt into a much bigger conflict than it already is.
It is almost a given that moderate states such as Egypt, Jordon, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, and perhaps Israel, would line up against Iran, Syria and perhaps Libya, Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, and Nicaragua. The latter, simply because they crave recognition.
This may sound like a real stretch to you, because I'm sure the Democrats would argue this until they were blue in the face. They really believe that negotiations and diplomacy will get the job done. Well, that's what Madeline Albright, under Clinton's direction thought too. It didn't work that way at all. Oh, they were ready t sit down and talk, why they even lulled the Cinton administration to sleep believeing they had achieved a win, win situation. When in all actuality, they were getting ready for the next attack on US interests, or the US itself.

Why, it was one (bogus) pretext for attacking Iraq. That's what it's got to do with Iraq.
The real question is, what has Iraq got to do with the "Terror War"?
As you suggest, it's inspired more people than ever to become terrorists and attack innocent people, for instance in Madrid and London.
It was also THE moment we became the largest, most powerful, and most brutal terrorist organization the world has ever known.
I disagree about "should be aimed at terrorist states" -- although I guess it depends on what you mean, exactly.
One of the two biggest things motivating people to harm us has been our support for all the brutal and oppressive countries we've kept in power for such a long time.
This "war" will not be won by more bloodshed; bloodshed begets hatred which begets more bloodshed.
It's high time (long overdue) that we stopped standing by the brutal and corrupt, and stood up for those values we've always claimed we revere: freedom, democracy, consent of the governed -- THOSE sorts of things.
(BTW, giving at least one of the innumerable links showing how terrorism has sky-rocketed because of our invasion of Iraq would have been a good idea. There are a lot of morons who just don't get it.)

It keeps it going, providing jobs and money to feed the terror-industrial-complex. Terror is big business—and it’s good business (just ask Halliburton and Blackwater). The money is great and your company operates above the law, immune from pesky investigations into your behavior or penalties for your criminal activities.
Recent reports by the US Department of State and a consensus of America’s 16 Intelligence Agencies both concluded that the US presence in Iraq is only making the situation there worse—worse, that is, if your goal is combating terror and restoring political stability to the Middle East—but better if the terror business pays your bills and feeds your family.

Go Blue –
How are we creating more terrorists? By a failed political strategy and through the ignorance of people like yourself that support that failed policy.
The State Department has said that Americans are less safe and less secure than they were prior to 9/11; and that during the Bush Presidency, terrorist organization have grown larger, stronger, more popular, and are more successful than ever (based on the increasing number and severity of successful attacks). The CIA has determined that our presence in Iraq is producing whole new generations of anti-American terrorists that we will have to deal with now and for decades into the future.

What is your basis for making this claim? Can you cite any studies or expert analyses that justify your hypothesis in terms of the geopolitical history and societal dynamics of the Middle East, Mediterranean, North Africa, and southwestern Asia regions?—You know, something from the same experts who warned that invading Iraq and removing Hussein from power would lead to civil war and broad scale regional destabilization?
The fact is that the US is irrelevant to the future of Iraq. It makes no difference if we left yesterday or last year, or if we leave tomorrow or next year. Our continuing presence there only inflicts more suffering on those who live there; further compromises America’s political standing in the world; and raises the risk of American’s everywhere becoming victims of terrorist acts for generations to come.
If we have learned any lesson from all of this, it should be that the neocon think-tank nitwits—and their equally lame-brained lackeys in the conservative media—are the most piss-poor self-proclaimed social scientists that the world has seen since the 19th century. Without exception, their every assessment, conclusion, and prediction has been an example of error, incompetence, and buffoonery on an unimaginable scale. They are, in fact, possibly unique in their ability to be completely wrong in absolutely every single thought they have and to achieve catastrophic failure in their every deed.

Talibans and Al Queda are love children of CIA and Pakistani ISI.If you do not believe ask Gen.Hamid Gul.and Osama Bin Laden.
Yes it is for Oil now and initially elimination of Saddam Hussein was the prime agenda for Saudi Royals and Bush Family. The war on terror is a fake thing just to justify their actions.

People are much easier to control, when they live in fear. That is the aim, control, and profit.
Retaliation to the countries that sponsored the WTC attacks, like Saudi Arabia, and even Pakistan, are the only ones we should be kicking as$ and taking names in. The war in Iraq and possibly Iran were predetermined in part, to jack oil prices, create windfall profits (not cheap gas for you and me), hold the dollars opec value, and spread discontent (NOT democracy).
If we buzz the hornets nest enough, Iraq/Iran can do something really stupid, and Israel could have justification to bomb the crap out of them, and then occupy more land.

It all started when George Bush Sr. (remember the one with, "A thousand points of light"?) let Saddam go without punishment during the Gulf War. Today's Pres. Bush decided that he had unfinished business to attend to and someone in his cabinet mentioned that they watched a Sci-Fi Movie where the bad guys had weapons of mass destruction and George Bush Jr. said, "That's It! , Somebody start a rumor". I wish that they would do something regarding the terrorism at the gas pump.

Iraq was the #2 producer of oil before we invaded, BIG incentive there. I believe that the lure of controlling the oil resources of Iraq and also significantly, the BILLIONS being spent on the war with the likes of Haliburton, Carlyle Group, KBR, Blackwater, etc. will DIRECTLY benefit the Bush/ Cheney Mafia and most certainly their Republican party (check the campaign contributions of these war profiteers if you doubt this assertion). A perpetual war benefits them all and I think they believed that this would keep them in power indefinately, I think they grossly miscalculated, SET 'EM STRAIGHT IN '08 !!!

As we all know,
these are all fancy, exotic titles: Iraqi freedom, Democracy, fight with terror,..........ONLY to cover up the pretext behind this unjust invasion!
Who are they really kidding?!!
NOTE: once again ''right wing nuts'' trying to make sense with their nonsense responses!!
It's really laughable!
Ive been recently noticing that, they've finally begun to admit that, this invasion is mostly about OIL.
Then with their own 'unique'! way of explanation trying to put some sense in it!
Like this bush lover up here (concern!!!!) explains the reason of invasion and how important the oil is to America!!
Thus it's OK to invade, because America needs OIL!!!
How could one conceive these bush lovers/supporters and their way of thinking!
Like they're from another planet or something!
