Magic for Dummies 101:

Magic, even in the most basic sleight-of-hand variety, is a matter of perspective. In other words, what defines the word magic is that it is a perspective.

In other words, magic is what the audience sees and experiences; it is not magic to the magician. Whether the trick is pulling a rabbit out of a hat or parting a really big lake, the magician 'knows' the process behind the action.

The audience experiences 'magic', the magician experiences 'process'. Even 'high magic' (the bending of spoons with one's mind and walking on water) exists because of the 'process'. When you understand the process, it is no longer 'magickal' but procedural.

Magic: using illusion to do tricks.

Magick: using earth, universal and personal energy to cause change in one's life for the better. A deep respect for Nature.

Magic & Magick: yes there are both in this world we live in.
