It DEPENDS on HOW you are traveling. If you FLY to and from Mexico, you must have a passport. If you are travelling by LAND or SEA, you do not need a passport until after SUMMER 2008. See website below and read top half of the page for the CURRENT info. To travel by land or sea to and from Mexico , you need your certified birth certificate and a picture I.D. See 2nd website for al passport info...good ide to get one as they will be needed for all foreign travel within a few months.

well if u want to get in the USA well u don't need a passport until January 23 if your traveling by land for all us citizens including children under 18. if your traveling by air, you will need a passport to enter the USA.

Yes now that the Government is getting stronger policy's against immigration laws you must have a valid passport to enter the United States. You may go anywhere you want to but to get back in you have to have documentation.
