Well, it sends the wrong message, that either the male is a transvestite, or a sissy. Can you imagine the flack a man would get by wearing women's clothes? In our society, it just isn't done. Besides, women's clothing is made for women's bodies, and looks ridiculous on men, in my opinion. And a young boy would be endlessly ridiculed by his peers if he were to dress like a girl. Only in certain cultures would it be permissible, for example in Scotland where the men wear kilts, but not in the modern western world. Sorry!

It is against the norms of society. There are unspoken rules that are followed by the majority of people that are created to establish some type of order, and a boy wearing girls clothes would be breaking one of those rules.

I don't think that it is weird, but most people do. If it were socially acceptable I would wear skirts, dresses, and tights. I am not gay, it is just that skirts and dresses are better suited to the male anatomy. One year for halloween I wore a denim skirt and navy blue tights with a sweater and it was like the most comfortable outfit I had worn.
