Cockroaches will survive a nuclear winter. They would survive anything except the explosion of our planet. They have been around since the dinosaurs and have survived it all so far.
Rats on the other hand are not so special that they would survive extremes. They just breed a ton and carry tons of diseases but that doesn't mean they will survive global warming if it got to extreme. I think humans could outsurvive rats

Yes and maybe
Both are generalists which means they can adapt to almost any situation and eat most anything they find.

Cockroaches can and will eat anything to survive and if conditions get extreme enough they will be reprogrammed genetically to mate earlier in thier life cycle so that they do as someone above me mentioned and mate continously.

If any mammal were to survive catostrophic levels of global warming it would be a small mammal like a mouse. They also eat just about anything and reproduce quickly. This would give them a huge advantage in preserving the species.

They serve a purpose but they are also disease ridden. Highly likely they would survive humans, but rats will die before roaches. Assuming if global warming became that bad then every living thing would die. Personally I don't think it will happen as man is here for a reason.

Edit: The bacterium Deinococcus radiodurans ( appropriately coined Conan the Bacterium) would survive1,500,000 rads of radiation and withstand freezing far more than roaches who can withstand between 67,500 to 105,000 rems.

They've survived pretty much a lot of things for centuries, so I'm sure that they can survive global warming.
They've already survived humans.

Not sure about rats, because they are warm blooded mammals like we are. But roaches, yes. One day they will RULE THE WORLD, I tell you! Of course by that time the earth will be just dust and ashes.

Cockroaches, yes. They'll just keep mating while they're dying from global warming. they'll just be constantly mating. Once they're born, they'll mate.
