In Dutch, my mother tongue, one calls it 'wc koker'. I've looked it up in several dictionaries & searched the web, but so far I haven't come up with the right answer. Thanks a lot for responding!

As English is a very loosely spoken language now a days, it is doubtful that there is a word that names the roll which the toilet paper is wrapped around. If there was such a word, it has probably vanished through the ages. I've only heard it referred to as "toilet paper roll", "cardboard toilet paper roll", or something else to that effect. I hope that helps.

Hmmm. . . good question. I'm not sure there is a specific English word for that. I've always called it a "toilet paper tube." and it seems most people call it something like that.

"Spindle" is a good word, but that makes me think more of the thing the thing you attach the cardboard tube to. (And I can't find "faden" in the dictionary.)

spindle or spool would be correct, but no one calls it that.
