followers of the bible believe that they shouldn't follow the world & the works of the world:

"Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. " Galatians 5:19-21

i know it's a long list, but one of the things listed is sorcery. back then, besides meaning witchcraft, sorcery meant drugs. so the bible doesn't support the use of cannabis. plus cannabism also goes along with some of the above mentioned

They will be yours for FOOD.

That's key.

I am a christian, however, I use marijuana.
I looked through the bible, couldn't find any verses directly relating to drug usage, only wine.

However, Philippians 4:8 says
Whatsoever things are true honest, just, pure lovely, of good report...think of these things.

Of course when they wrote down that statement they wouldn't have heard of the alternate usages of plants.
