coming to this part of the site?Do they honestly think this is just for them?Is that not rather a facist attitude to adopt. If they dont like it should they not be excluded from all other areas of the site?Or does that sound right wing and extreme?

Beats me mate,a lot of them do hold rather reactionary veiws on here. This is the sort of question that brings answers from them where they have the audacity to try and liken the troubles they face because of their lifestyle choices with that of the terrible struggles and brutallities committed against jewish and black people. No dont laugh, some of them seriously do try and use that one!

I have absolutely nothing against straight people coming into the GLBT forums. ALL the YA forums are open and public and anyone can post comments and answers anywhere...that's what it's supposed to be about. What I object to are trolls with the emotional maturity of pre-teens spewing bile and hate and posts that look like they were written by mentally-challenged bigots from another planet.

In fact, here's a question for you: since most of the questions you've posted have to do with stirring up some kind of gay vs. straight controversy, WTF are YOU doing in this part of the site? Closeted much?

Ruff, all I can say to that is, as a bisexual non-Christian with beliefs, morals, and values of my own, you will never - NEVER - catch ME going into a CHRISTIAN room and telling THEM that THEIR beliefs are wrong... That THEIR lifestyles are wrong... That THEY'RE all just a bunch of worthless, sinful, vile perverts... That THEY should all be killed off... That THEY deserve whatever terrible diseases THEY get... That any of THEM who are badly beaten and/or murdered just for what THEY are DESERVE what they get... That MY God/Goddess/Creator/Whoever/Whatever hates THEM... That they are NOT equal to the rest of society...

I could go on and on with examples of bigotry like this that I've actually had thrown at ME from countless Christian zealots/bigots, both on here AND in public.

Most of those are so hateful as to be SUBHUMAN. And as far as beliefs are concerned, I fully know that EACH and EVERY PERSON on this planet has EVERY RIGHT to their OWN beliefs, religious or otherwise. It is NOT for ME to tell ANYONE else that their beliefs or morals or values are "wrong". And as far as lifestyles go, as long as a relationship is entered into by two MATURE and FULLY CONSENTING ADULTS, then whatever they want to do in the privacy of their own homes is THEIR OWN BUSINESS; not to mention the fact that it HURTS NO ONE.

Sadly, however, Christian zealots don't see it that way. If the LGBT community WAS to "turn the tables" on Christian zealots and start doing and saying all of the bigoted things I mentioned above on a daily basis (like the Christian zealots do to us LGBTers), THEY'D be pretty pissed, too...

What's also sad is the fact that I laugh whenever I hear the term "humankind" any more. There is NOTHING even remotely kind about many humans these days...

I haven't seen people moaning about straights coming here.. But either way why does it affect you so much? Does it hurt you that you don't feel welcome here? Well that should be an eeny tiny little taste of what gay people actually go through in society where they're not fully accepted as normal human beings with the same rights. I hope you see what I mean.

The truth is that I don't understand why straight people would like to hang out in here, but as far as I care they can come and satisfy their curiosity about the LGBT community as long as they don't try to impose their way of thinking on them.

Hi, I am a straight woman who has a (much younger) gay male friend. He is like having another son and we get on real well. He never moans about anyone, gay or straight, he's just a great guy. Let's stop with all the labels......a rose by any other name, etc
Let's live and let live. So long as no-one gets hurt, what's the problem?

What we object to are the bible bashers that come over just to ask a question like "DONT YOU KNOW GOD HATES ******* AND EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU WILL GO TO HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!!!!!!!? We don't have a problem with heterosexuals asking legitimate questions here.

I moan about straight women, especially when I fancy them and can't have them = unrequited love.

i dont. i think this area is welcome to all people, and same with all the other areas. i just dont want straight people to put down our choices. we think that mostly lgbt would understand, and give us a good and well thought out answer.

Its just like atheists answering questions in "Religion and Sprituality" - THIS IS AN OPEN FORUM AND ANYONE CAN ANSWER... as long as they abide by terms of service. Besides, just because I'm straight doesn't mean I don't have useful advice - I've helped out some gay people with their questions (sometimes go "Best Answer" too!) - I don't judge them by their sexuality - they shouldn't judge me by mine.

I think you would understand why LGBT huddle together if you could see the life of one. We like to have places where we can dance without scorn. Places to talk about how to deal with negativity from people eager to hate.

Thanks for letting me voice. we can be friends.

peace
