What do you think?

It will be Zoe Loraine

Should we spell it the traditional way? ZOE
or ZHOE (maybe not, I just realized that has hoe in it...lol.)
ZOWIE
ZOWEY
ZOWY

We just can't decide since there are so many ways to spell it...I know sticking with tradition may be easier bc they can find their names on pins, mugs, etc but that is a stupid reason to not spell it any other way. I mean my first daughter is Aliyah...I saw NO need to have 2 A's at the begining as it served no purpose. I guess I could say the same with Zoe, I just do not want to name my kids #1 something out there #2 something VERY common like Megan (my name) and #2 nothing common but spelled in a ridiculous unneeded manor like Maeghan, Meghean, or Magen (I've seen much more and I would hate to have my name spelled any of those ways)!!!!!!

There are a lot of ways to spell many names, and while it's nice to spell things differently so that the name looks more unique you should remeber that for the rest of your childs life she will have to deal mispelling her name. Also it will be hard to find many personalized novelity items that have the correct spelling of her name. Zoe, is beautiful.

Zoe Loraine is very pretty. Any other spelling looks wrong and will just make you seem illiterate and uneducated. Just stick with Zoe. It's simple and spunky the way it is. Also, I think the W in it might make people say zow-wee instead of zo-ee. Zhoe might become just Zo. If you want something that is different but not way out there, maybe Zoey would work. I have seem that spelling a couple times. It's still simple but also a little different as well. (like you daughters name)

Zoe is perfect just the way it is! When you start changing it the name begins to take on the comic book flair of Zowwweeeee
I like the name - very pretty. If you want to have some fun - change around the spelling of her middle name - Lorane maybe?

Hi. I'm a Megan, too :-) What about spelling her name Zoey? It's not going to be difficult for her, but it's still a little different than the more common Zoe.
Good Luck.

Yea, it took me forever to figure out how to say that name. I say just go with Zoe. Because most people know how to say that by now and it doesn't look right the other ways. I always thought that would be a cool name for a kid.

If you give her a common name, spell it in the ordinary way. There is no advantage to trying to differentiate her thru a weirdo spelling, but there are many disadvantages.
My advice is to give her the traditional spelling so that she'll have something to play around with when she's 12 - creative spelling is a pursuit for schoolgirls, not their mothers.

I would stick with Zoe or Zoey. It will be spelled that way by most people anyway so you won't spend your life correcting their spelling!
