bonesiow-ordinarily I would agree, but since all rap artists/music is labeled as "neg.-yada yada", I think it would benefit the genre to seperate those who only rap about "drugs, murder, etc., etc., the 'I'm not a rapper", crowd from the artists who are more well rounded call themselves rappers/mc's & don't view the artform as "just another hustle". Believe me they are at their core, very different from one another.

it should, but no one respects it. Not that I like the B's O's and n words, but it is more creative than anything ou there. Rock still sux. Country as well depressant bull crap. It is more music than rock could ever be. When you see commercials it's rap they try to put in not rock. Thyen you get these idiots talking about rap is not music. Well if it isn't screaming with a guitar in your crotch isn't either. And biting the head off a bat on stage definitely isn't.

Rock needs to be divided and sub divided to try to be revelant. When you see the award show they got their asses in the seats when rock is on, but when rap is on the stage everyone gets on their feet.

to SEC, it hasn't always been accepted and will always be alternative (it was played on college radio back in the day to mid/late '90s and wasn't immediately welcomed with open arms to those that sung R&B. They hated it)

isn't it already.
you have rap/rock, horrorcore, rap/jazz, new jack swing, "R&B"- rap & bullsh!t, crunk, hardcore rap, gangsta rap, hip hop etc etc

why do we have an obsession with labelling everything. i always thought that was a white thing. but i digress. just accept it as is. the best kind of music are the ones that can be catergorized
