OMG, are you kidding??? Us LGBTers are being blamed by Christian zealots/bigots for EVERYTHING that's gone wrong/is going wrong in the world today. We're even being blamed for the increasing number of DIVORCES these days, even though that's obviously completely irrational, unfounded, and a downright ignorant way of thinking - not to mention the fact that it has NOTHING to do with the price of tea in China...

Christian zealots have ALWAYS needed a scapegoat on whom to blame the "evils" and the "wrongdoings" and the "immorality" of society. (They sure as hell don't want that responsibility on themselves!) If it's not Satan, it's Ozzy Osbourne; if it's not him, then it's Marilyn Manson; if it's not him, then it's us LGBTers, etc. Then again, they've been condemning homosexuals and non-Christians for CENTURIES: the Spanish Inquisition, the Crusades, and the Holocaust are only a few examples of that. It's become a sad tradition.

I've noticed lately the closeted christian "heterosexual" male politicians are the ones having anonymous, adulterous, homosexual sex in public bathrooms, not gays and lesbians or bisexuals. Makes you wonder just who is immoral-lying cheating christians, who use their condemnation of gays and lesbians as their family values political platforms sure seem immoral to me. Nothing like using the hatred of a group of people that you are a part of of, to get ahead, eh?

Those who claim to be moral cannot accept that they are the cause of so much suffering in the world. They blame the gays, the unbelievers, the "immoral" people. The hypocrisy is thick enough to choke on.

Seems like everybody needs a scapegoat. In the 50's and 60's it was the "Godless Communists" in the 70's it was "them damn hippies", so I guess it's just our turn.

Because when these fundaMENTAList hypocrites are out stealing their congregations blind and "screwing thy neighbor's wife", it's so much easier to demonize a group that they've already attacked ad nauseum, than to take personal responsibility for their own actions as they claim to do, and preach that everybody else should be doing.

Because some people need a scapegoat for the problems in life that they can't explain rationally.
