It will take three business days, depending on the area you are in a letter may be anywhere from one to three days. A first class letter mailed in the continental US to any state in the continental US at most will take three days. In the same city as long as a letter is dropped off before 4 o'clock it will be delivered the next day, that is why sometimes overnight service is not worth the money if you are mailing something to an address in the same city, a first class letter will do the same for less. I know Brooklyn, NY has a 96% overnight service for mail within the city of New York. Obviously some mail gets lost in the sorting and by the time it is recovered it might be an extra day but nothing is perfect. So your answer is three days.

I send whole packets of documents from Cali to Boston, and once it took 2 days, another time 4 days. But the average is indeed 3.
