I read one question where the girl told people her name (first); hobbies; something that showed that she lived in the country, the name of her school sports team and the sports she participated in. Would you ever provide this information here under any circumstance?

Floral, do you know how much info I could get by knowing your real name?

No. To do so is sadly naive and dangerous. If the person who did this doesn't care about themselves perhaps they should think about the danger they are putting there own family in.

I don't see where that would be a "huge percentile" online danger...

As long as you don't give any numbers, passwords, or addresses, or credit card info, or social security, or whatever in a "numerical" sense...

I see only minimal potential danger there...

We can't go through life thinking every little nuance scam possibility is going to come true...

Virus's and money thieves, yeah...

But our personal demographics were sold the minute you signed up for Yahoo...

Let's get real, people...

The furthest that I can give is my real name if the question asked for my real name... Anymore would be confidential... ^_^

I hope nothing happens to that girl... She seemed naive...

No. I think we've heard too many horror stories about sneaky stalkers. I would never reveal THAT much information.

No. That's too much information about one's self.

Maybe. If it was in a survey or something. I wouldn't care much (as foolish as that may be).
