An amoeba undergoes cell-division, so that ten minutes later (Which in the world of an amoeba can be the equivalent of 20 years, or more), there are two amoebas...
Then, one amoeba says to the other, "Didn't we used to be one?"
The other replies, "You must be crazy! I don't remember a thing!"
"In fact, I believe that I was created like this, and have always been exactly the way I am!"

I think that based on the theory of evolution by charles darwin, we might evolve to something more advance. I mean, look at people 50 years ago, if you look at old pictures, you can see that there has been changes in the anatomical features. Some might call it cross breeding, other races get taller, or some people's noses might get finer, some people's skin might get lighter, all of which might not be present to their ancestors. I believe this is how our race will evolve. It is more advantageous to be taller so a lot of people are getting taller than people 50-100 years ago. Although, evolution takes million of years to really be considered an evolution, we just cannot say because only people in the future will be able to prove it. Let's just hope earth still exist by that time.

It is not possible to avoid a parralel with darwin while speaking of evolution, it would be like trying to speak about Christ without referencing The Bible.
Let me guess, you come from a Christian Fundimentalist School and you have been challenged by a Pastor to do so, It's moments before church and you have yet to find an answer.
When you say "Origional" you really mean "Alternate".
WAKE UP! Evolution is one of Gods' ways of making life.

Not to hate, but creating a theory is a laymans term. Form a hypothesis if you will. How about this: differing geological formations create differing nutrients in the ground which directly affect the genetics and growth of plants, which gradually transforms them into different species. The leads upwards to animals which also are changed by their differing foods, thus leading to another slow process of change.

1. Don't email that guy. 2. The only thing that has crossed my mind is that we are getting hit with rays or waves from outer space that is causing changes to life. That some ancients guessed at this and came up with the horoscope. You could make a theory out of that.

rev tl was rather rude, wasn't he? Christian bashers are as ignorant as fundamentalist Christians who follow Bush blindly.
I personally love your question. My guess is that you and I are of the same spirit.
There are alternative hypotheses for how we, humans especially, evolved.
I believe that any would be incomplete that doesn't include
a "holographic cause for consciousness" which is a hot, new science/philosophy which I know to be on the right track-to say the least. One must include sentience in a theory of evolution, because consciousness commands the physical universe, not vice-a-versa, as some fools would lead you to believe.
someone named anon said "This century's philosophy is the next century's common sense!"
Feel free to E me at atoms55@hotmail.com. I'm really interested in what you're doing! thx,Tom

if a long chain molecule is capable of replicating itself (procreation) with subtle changes in the replicate (mutation) and the environment and lack of resources let only some survive (natural selection) then we have evolution.
Given enough time this can produce an Einstein.

Sure, just as soon as you give me your own theory of gravity. You and your teacher obviously do not understand the concept; " theory. "

well..this one was also asked by our history teacher last week...
based on my own perceptions..
i answered..
....
that all land were connected before forming big, broad continent, the PANGEA...
until such time that the core heats up the volume which resulted to volcanice eruption of all volcanoes..
the sea exerted pressure above, and that there is mixed up in the weather... that led to the falling of rain, snow, hail as volcanic eruption happens..
the earth crack to the deep because of heat and that they separated and got firm because of mixed weathers that is the snow, rain, hail all together.. and that.. it became so...
that there is 5 continents now...
about evolution..i believe in Genesis....
and that my teacher said that i have a very good definition of how the earth evolved....
