I had thought about getting one but the sexiness of an eye patch and a monocle would just be too much. I also think squinting to hold that monocle in my eye would cause wrinkles.

I have astigmatism. While I did lobby hard to get a monocle.... my vision problem would have required one for each eye. The resulting facial contortions necessary to hold two monocles made it appear as though I was suffering from some gastro-intestinal disorder.

I don't wear eyeglasses. Do you think I could punch out the lens of the monocle and wear it anyway? I think it would not only be sexy but it would also build up the outer eye muscles. Win/win.

A monocle is very mysterious, very classy. I would have to wear it while I smoked a fine cigar and drank 100 year old red wine... and listened to some Bach. And I'd be wearing a plush maroon and black robe and house slippers. Also I'd have a butler.
