Around how much would a Jim Walter home cost if you just got a basic 2-3 bedroom 1-2 bath home? What's the cheapest price house through them, just an average price range? Also, are they good homes?

And also,How can you get a home loan price to go up for more? Paying off credit cards and such will that make the loan go up more?

Typically the more the bedroom and bathroom count the higher the value and sales price. They are decent homes for your money as well.

I'm confused about the second part of your question. Are you looking to roll in some credit card debt into the home loan? For example, if you're purchasing a home for $90,000 and have $5,000 in credit card debt, you're looking to get a $95,000 loan and pay off the credit card? If that's the case, forget about it! Lenders don't do that anymore.

ADDITIONAL ANSWER
OK, I'm still confused... Are you asking if you could qualify for a higher loan amount if you paid down some existing debt? In other words, with your current debt loan, you've qualified for a $75k mortgage. If you paid down the credit card debt, could you qualify for a higher loan amount?

If that's the question, the answer is yes. Your total debt ratio is important in getting qualified for a loan.

For information relative to Jim Walter homes, read the supplied URL.

I gather your question relative to the mortgage value is whether or not you can get a higher LTV mortgage if you pay off your other debts. It's possible, but you would need to check with the lender involved. Each lender uses different criteria for approval of a mortgage.
