I've been in a long distance relationship for 4 years now and we are okay. Its definately hard but we know that right now its for the best. We are both in colllege and we want to fiinish our education before we move together. He lives in Germany and i live in the US so we dont get to see eachother a lot. It takes a lot of communication, trust and honesty. So if you two can do that then you are off to a good start. we look at the distance as a challenge. Webcams can help since you can see eachother online. If you feel like you can't wait then may be you should move but i just wanted to let know that 3 years is managable as long as you put the work into it. Email me if you have more questiosn or want more ideas of how to stay connected. Good luck :)

My LDR failed becase we didn't get enough time together. Three years is too long to wait. Your son will move on and make friends in SC. Most people sacrifice their lives completely for their kids. It should not e that way. We make sacrifices, but sometimes you have to sit them down and explain that you need to move on with your life aswell. Be honest with them. You need to make a decision fast because the longer you wait, the less of a chance you will have to make the relationship work. Either let him go or move!

i'm no longer a huge believer in lengthy distance relationships, yet i'm a believer in LOVE! (: because you're the two ending college, make time to pass to one yet another on a extensive-unfold foundation. comply with pass to one yet another as quickly as a month and follow it! (Or regardless of length of time you are able to cope with to pay for to do; each 2-3 months, regardless of.) deliver him considerate surprises periodically, without appearing to be a psycho-stalker. LOL! What do you think of approximately agreeing thus far others until you're out of school, then party and see the place it takes you? college is in simple terms the form of massive taking part in container and this additionally supplies some room for no longer getting harm. individually, i does not be waiting to do the lengthy distance element returned. a minimum of it in no way worked for me interior the previous.

Long distance relationship rarely work out. You need to spend more time with your NEW friend before making any kind of changes in your life. I would stay in Florida at this point. Your son should be prime in your thinking. After three years of getting to know your new friend, maybe he would be able to move by you or you would have the freedom to move by him.

Best of luck.

that's a long time to wait ...book some time between now and then for the three of you to vacation together and get to know each other better ... that will tell you a lot about what you want or need to do next ...
