I say thank you. Each person has their own idea of what is good or bad looking to say anything else could hurt them thinking that you did not appreciate their idea or that you did not think they were nice looking so I just simply say, "Thank you!"

I am gracious enough to say thank you for the compliment. (Even if I myslef know that I'm not good looking). At least it makes my heart leap with happiness that somebody appreciates me other than myself.

thinks they are lying and ignores the comment or just jokingly brushes it off telling them they need glasses. If they keep talking about it or insist on it I blush and turn beet red.

I usually say "stop, you're just saying it because it's true." Then we chuckle and I always thank them for the compliment.
