Our letterbox measures 12" x 3" and I am unable to find a draught excluder which is long enough in UK. Most of them only fit letterboxes 11" x 3". Any ideas please?

Just a thought but have you considered putting a peice of heavy material over the letterbox? I used to do this in a place we lived in where there was a gap in the letterbox and it did the trick fine. As long as the postie can get the mail through the letterbox it should be okay.

I am hoping that my postman is happier now I have a letterbox in the middle of the door, rather than at the bottom where it used to be. I do find, though, that if there is only one letter, it tends to get stuck and is left hanging from the letterbox. The old letterbox just had a flap, the new one has a flap inside and outside and the brushes/draft excluder, so is a bit more difficult.
