I would like to know as my brother died when I was young and my parents could never afford to buy one.
Also would a stone mason make these or do you have to go through a funeral home.
Thankyou in advance for answering.

You can go through a stone mason direct. My father in law just passed last week and going through the cremation etc, a cemetery board sent us a brochure on all the options on
Granite seat
Garden ground Niche
Memorial Wall
Family trees and shrubs with plaques
as well as the standard gravestones

I tell you there is ALOT of options out there. Just from this full colour catalogue in front of me, prices start from $269 But that is for something so basic. I would say you would be looking at around the $500 for something worthwhile.

Search online for Stone Masons in your area and ask them to send you out a catalogue, this way you can take your time and see all the options available.

Also contact the cemetery where your brother is for their policy and guidelines on what you can, and can’t have, after all you don’t want to spend all the money then them telling you, you can not have it placed.

Good on you for doing what you are doing.

I'm not sure of the exact cost. Could be around $500 but I would ring a local stone mason and found out costs and styles etc.
