e.g. cow
carnivore - animals that eat other animals
e.g. lions
omnivore - animals that eat both plants and animals
e.g. humans
scavenger - animals that eat the scrap left by other animals
e.g vultures
like this is the most simple science lesson inmy life... i didn' t even listen when the teacher explained this

I would say carnivores (meat-eaters - e.g. lions), herbivores (vegetarians - e.g. horses), omnivores (eaters of both meat and vegetation - e.g. humans) and insectivores (insect-eaters - e.g. bats). As far as I am aware, scavengers are usually classified as carnivores, since they are still eating meat.
