Don't do it - really. My daughter had hers done - has now taken the stud out and has a hole in her nose - looks worse than the stud. Why spoil your face like that.

Whatever you do, don't pierce it yourself...go to a professional body piercing place to get it done. It will hurt more if you do it yourself. Some places will numb the area with an ointment, some places don't. I was scared to death when I got my belly button pierced (it was my first piercing besides my ears), but it only hurt for a couple seconds. So I'm not going to lie to you, it is going to hurt, but not for too long. Women have a higher tolerance for pain (because of child birth), so if men can do it then you can do it!

yes it is possible to pierce it yourself. first you'll need a sterillisation kit, which are really hard to find and cost anywhere between £10 and £20, can even be more. then you'll need a needle, it needs to be sharp and long enough to pass through your nose so you can hold it comfortably with your fingers at both end. you'll also need ice to numb and something, like a towel, to catch the blood.
what you do is you numb the nose, don't forget to do this in front of a mirror so you know where you're putting the needle, put the towel under your nose, sterilise the needle, then put the needle through your nose. be warned though, i have been told that doing it yourself is twice as painful as having it done professionally.

If you're going to have it done then get a professional to do it! Yes it does hurt but like most piercings it's afterwards that it throbs like hell.
However, I wouldn't recommend you have it done at all. I had mine done at 17, took it out a few years later & now I have a large indentation scar on my nose. It looks like a big blackhead, it's horrible. Don't ruin your face, keep on using the fake diamond stickers.

i had my nose pierced...when i was 11...I still have my nose pierced at the age of 16... I got it pierced at a tattoo place, it really hurt, I had my belly buttom pierced aswell and that one didnt hurt compare to the nose, now imagine you piercing it your self...you gonna scream of the pain, so if you wanna get it pierced just go to some1 proffessional to do it for you...it will hurt but just for a few seconds, if you do it your self there its the possability that you do it wrong or you get it infected and it will hurt for days maybe even months...good luck...

i've never had my nose peicered myself but i've had ears done that only hurt for a split second if you want it done that much i'm sure you can cope with pain, don't use magnetic earings because you could inhale the smaller piece on the inside, (it happened to a friend of mine when she was little.)
a good places would be a shop called blue banana they have experts to do it. good luck hope this has been of some help.
try searching locations on the web, the one by me is really good they have a specail room and they numb it when i had my ears done and its not too much to pay.

think carefully. cos once done it cant be undone. so in 15 years if you take it out you'll have a small hole that will look like a lil blackhead which will get 'stuff' in it so you'll have to clean it out a lot. and if your under 16 you need parental permission. hope they are 'liberal' else its a no go.
And yes of course it hurts... but only for a lil while. just listen to the professional that does it and do as youre told. no dirty fingers touching it. infections are nasty. so keep it very clean while its healing.
good luck.

Ive got a small but visable scar on my nose, which appeared after getting some1 to pierce it for me. he didnt no what he was doing and i ended up looking like rudolf the highly visable red nosed raindeer for more than a few days. I wish i hadnt had it done. Dont do it yourself as you will only live to regret it like i did.

woah! easy there girl! its not that essential that you get your nose peirced and of course it will hurt but only for a second. ok, i havent had my nose peirced but im guessing its like having your ears peirced. if your serious about it then do it, dont even THINK about doing it yourself cos you havent got a clue what you are doing and could end up with an infection or worse. how old are you? if you are under 16 then you will need to speak to your parents about this. dont panic its just something you WANT not something you need!
