I am sure the Cadillac CTS is a great product, and I really do hope GM succeeds. But after reading this article at http://www.baltimoresun.com/business/investing/bal-bz.ml.dang25nov25,0,5697343.column
i have huge reservations about buying cars and trucks from GM. It is no wonder GM is now only worth 15 billion , I now have huge reservations about owing GM cars or trucks. What do you think?

This is not just a GM thing, but a automotive/corporate America thing. They are only concerned about one thing and that is not the consumer. The nice thing about the CTS is they have been out for many years so the likely hood of not having parts is very slim. Just like with any car you are going to have problems at some point and time.

I have heard horror stories about all companies doing this mostly from Chrysler thought with their transmission problems. It don't surprise me any on GM. Honda has even done it with the Element with the windshield problem. There is no surprise from GM on doing that. If you wanted a good company to buy from it would be Honda and Subaru. Al their products are reliable.

will to tell you the truth is that GM's suck, and also Ford's motor corp and dodge, jeep and Chrysler too but know I have look at Chrysler and Jeep. they have improve a lot since Mercedes bought Chrysler Corp and Mercedes Corp made it better in styling, performance, handling, fuel efficiency and more and I also look Ford and they are also getting better than because they are working Side to Side with Volvo and Volvo and Audi are making them better too. but GM.s is also getting better but it will take a long time to catch up with European cars and Japanese cars. but i do like the new model from GM's, also New Model from Ford like the Edge, 500, MUSTANG, or the Fusion, it getting better I'll say and about Chrysler they the same too. but overall I will choose Chrysler cars first, GM's and Ford.. I hoping they get better because i want to buy a car from GM's.

all it takes is to look at the tech bulletins on their full sized vans with sliding side door.
16 different scenarios of problems, with complex proceedures that basically have the techs re-engineering the door. [for many years now g.m. has been missing the boat]
from stupid concepts[aztek] to dropping the camero, and over pricing the aussie made g.t.o.. their cars and trucks are goat crap with few bright spots. this once great company is even more of a has been than mercedes for whom i still hold hope, but not g.m.
