I ask this because when Hiro Nakamura met him in 17th Century Japan, he threatened topunish him and so on (making him a villian). However, in the present day, he is helping Peter Petrelli stop the virus and take down the company (which would imply he is a hero).
Which to you all think he is?

Although he is in a gray area right now, I think he falls into the category of villain. It's no coincidence that he's been locked up for 30 years (just as long as Hiro's been around) and he's sure to take revenge on Hiro. In fact, I believe his entire goal could be revenge on the Nakamura family and Hiro. Remember, Adam did kill Kaito, and we never even got to know what Kaito's power was.

Villians create Heroes. You can't be a hero unless there's a villian. But you don't usually see a villian till there is a hero, because they're hidden as such. Perhaps to help keep hope. Or everyone are in denial. Or maybe your right about the villians, but it could mean they've exsisted before the hero but did'nt show up till a real opposite could challenge them. I imagine that would tickle their fancy.

He is a villain. The fact that he possess the same power as Claire he can never die unless his head is cut off. Well, when Hiro went back in time he altered the fate of Takezo. He was supposed to be defeated by some Dragon guy by having his head cut off. He wasn't so he never died his cells keep regenerating so he won't grow old. Hiro really messed things up by going back in time. He is befriending Peter because he is smart. Peter is probably the only Hero that can stop him. He is definitely a bad guy.

He could well be both. We know he killed Kaito and is trying to kill the rest of the 12, but they did lock him up for 30 years and we don't know why. We know Bob says it's because Adam wanted to destroy the world, but I don't trust Bob. It's very possible that Bab wants to release this virus, and Adam really does want to save the word. And at the same time, Adam can want to save the world but still kill those who hurt him. I'd think that after 400 years your concept of morality could get pretty fluid.

I'm looking forward to seeing him and Hiro meet up. I think that holding a grudge for 300+ years for kissing his girlfriend is a little excessive. It's very possible that Adam didn't even know Kaito was Hiro's father and has forgiven Hiro centuries ago.

Adam is a villian. He is actually trying to release the virus and wipe out mankind, as evidenced by Hiro's trip back in time. Victoria Pratt was against the disease. One of his motives (for taking down the company) is to get revenge on those who locked him away. In my opinion, his sworn revenge against hiro is his least villianous virtue.

That's the beauty of Heroes. They make you wonder and think and they suddenly pull a plot twist on you. I think Bob has a hidden agenda and so does Adam Monroe. Wether we find out within the next two episodes remains to be seen. I just hope the Writers Strike gets called off and Heroes will continue to broadcast the original 24 episodes for season 2 instead of just 11.

His vendetta against Hiro I can understand: I'd be angry too if someone stole my girl and glory like Hiro did - but probably not for as long as Kenzai! I think he wants to destroy the company because he is full of anger. Whilst some aspects of the company ought to be destroyed I think they can also help certain heroes control their powers so are not entirely bad.

I don't know why he is helping Peter, but he killed Hiros dad and tried to kill his mother. So I think he is a villian. maybe helping Peter means to help him himself, but I hope they do stop the virus.

I think he is a villian. It all pans out in favor of him being a villian. He is using peter to get to the virus. Peter is too caught up in saving Caitlin to believe teh woman..i forgot her name.

I think that he is a villian . because he promised revenge to those who locked him up. yes he is helping peter to stop the virus so that it does not kill his descendants . I think that is the only reason he is helping peter . good luck and god bless.
