there is no such thing. Its one of the very few tools that can be used effectively by both righties and lefties. Now SCISSORS..on the other hand...don't even get me started.

Haha... sorry but your builder is pulling your leg! There are certain jokes builders play on new employees that involve sending them to the hardware store to find things such as... Sky Hook, Board Stretcher, Left handed Hammer, etc... Sounds like you need to tell him to get on the ball!

I will tell you the truth. All hammers are ergonomically designed to be ambidextrous. In plain english, hammers can be used by lefty's and righty's.
