I tried swtching to WEP and WAP settings too but no luck. the only was i got wireless connection is through my imac. I tried sharing internet through imac and it works but if i put security on it it doesnt work then. I cant have a unsecured network lying around. Please help. You may want to try this "Fix"

Seems that Vista may not pull DHCP addresses from ROUTERS correctly due to the fact that Microsoft wants all DHCP to be Microsofts DHCP! (There at it again!)
Some routers do work, many do not!
You might also check to see if Dlink has updated the firmware for the router!

Are you using a wireless network adapter? Not all routers support bluetooth. I'm using vista and i dont experience problems connecting to the Internet wirelessly and using it. I personally think its way better than xp.

*Some routers only support up to 2 or 3 or 4 devices connected simultaneously.

dlink is a sucky network gear hands down. If you are having so many issues with connecting to it wirelessly update the drives on that router or buy something better that is more reliable like CISCO or netgear or linksys

I had the same issue and I had to disable the IPv6 under the network card settings to get it to work.
