Anything for a laugh. Sometimes, ya just gotta BE the GOAT.
But, since that's a willful choice, it doesn't make you a fool, it makes you a comic.

ive done that so many times i dont feel like a fool anymore i do it to make my mates laugh to its a 2 way thing though cant complain

Do it all the time just to make myself laugh. People are a trip..
Like once at a new job, I put a picture of this really ugly old guy in my wallet and when all the girls started talking about their boyfriends, I said "Do you wanna see my guy"? they said sure, and I'd whip that on 'em..You'd get silence or stuff like .."uh, yeah, " and they'd hand it back or .."oh, uh, you been with him long.." funny stuff like that..

I do it all the time, usually involves the torment of some poor wal-mart employee.
Looking at the rifles and asking the clerk where the anti-depressants are kept,
Trying on Bras,
Asking the folks in the shoe Dept. if they have grown up bunny slippers,
God help 'em if they leave one of those price tag guns un-attended.
Etc.
Yes, I have really done these.

Yes...I will make a fool of myself in public to make my friends laugh, too. They deserve it.

It would depend no how public you are talking about, how did I feel about the girl. Was I in love? Did I want to get laid? etc. Like most guys I will do just about anything to get laid. lol!
Also, this could backfire and make you look like a bafoon.
