I've conducted an experiment with a few questions for voting; without reading the answers I voted for the one with the most thumbs down, and it was the best or 2nd best answer in my view.
To make things easy I might just keep voting that way.

I noticed this is true especially in the Japan section and always has been. Don`t exactly know why though because the answers are sometimes pro-Japan and sometimes anti-Japan or just neutral. I have asked the same question myself! I will give you a star!

Anyway: why? jealousy and immaturity. Fortunately a thumbs down doesn't really do anything except ignore and show that there are cowardly immature people on the loose. There's a difference between giving a thumbs down for racist and inaccurate answers and what these little brats do.
However be careful these little brats might just thumbs down wrong answers so you'll vote for the worst answer. They might also go thru and thumbs down everyone except one just to create suspicion of that user. Yahoo ought to give some moderation responsibilities to the best answerers in each category so that they can readily report abusers and spammers.

i got it all the time here.
they just don't like the truth.
but if you just tell that they are the best ..anything good, you will get a lot of thumb up. no matter it truth or not.
anyway i don't care.

Possibly, they do that so their answer will get the most votes compared to the other good answers.
