I think I would choose "Cleopatra" if I had only those two epics. Mainly, it's because I haven't been able to watch it as much as "Ben Hur", so I'd like to become more familiar with it. I would especially love to see "Cleopatra" on a movie channel instead of having to put up with the hacked-up network version; even AMC's copy is lacking scenes that I remember clearly.
"Cleopatra" offers a wealth of actors, one of its perks, including Roddy McDowall, one of my all-time favorites.
I do like epic films, including "The Ten Commandments", "Quo Vadis", "The Egyptian", "El Cid", "The Fall of the Roman Empire" and other sprawling creations. I don't even mind the ones that don't have the budget for proper sprawling, such as "Land of the Pharoahs".
