My wife really likes a pair of antique ear rings she has seen. Is it hygienic to get them and how do you make sure you sterilise them properly before wearing them?

You specifically could desire to nicely known if all the keys are in working order and if the piano desires to be tuned. With tuning additionally comes voicing of the keyboard the place the tuner pays particular interest to the element of the keyboard you utilize maximum for taking part in the melodies of the options you're engaged on. Sure, just wash with warm soap and water and wipe well with alcohol the earings and the earlobes. Hopefully she isnt allegic to any of the metals earings might contain. Some people can only wear 24K, 14K or platinum and some earings might have silver, nickle so this is something you should consider. Always good to remove them at nite or after wearing.

We used to do ear piercing the old fashioned way (not by gun) and by law, the only way to sterilise the equipment was to boil it for about 5 mins to kill any germs. They will be fine in a pan of boiling water on the stove simmering for 5 mins, alcohol alone will not kill all germs.
I am a professional ear piercer for whoever gave me the thumbs down i do know what I am talking about!

The only problem is sterilising them. I tried it by using boiling water, but it melted the glue holding the stones in and ruined them. maybe in a cold solution with milton would work better.

I would say no. It's easy to get infections from second hand earrings, and you really have no idea just what you're sticking into yourself.

I wouldn't get them.
