I just wanna to make a private share folder between me and my assistant in the Network and i don't wanna any body else to access the folder.
any suggestion plz!!!

Dear All,
i am not asking about a local user, i am asking about a LAN network that it includes around 10 pcs joined network and what i want is only to make a share folder only for myself and my assistant because some financial and confeditional documents.

i assume you know how to make a directory.
next step is to share it.
use the chown and chmod commands to accomplish this. with chown you can set the owner and/or group of the folder, with chmod you can set the access permissions for the persons in the group.

You must do it by right clicking the folders and choosing which user can access it.

Right click -> Properties ->Security.

You need to create user's in the Control Panel->User Accounts.

You can have a user account for yourself and your assistant and password protect, provided you are a administrator.

You can also install folder protection softwares like 'Hide Files & Folders' to password protect folders.

Sounds like you wanna be personal and private. Be care full with relationships among the work place. Buy an encryption program instead. Any folders are available to the IT department. Encpypted information is not.
