Ok well let me explain.
Men:
We get married for the same similar reasons that a women would, but expect laundry, cooking, sex, clean house so most of us get married because of this and the rest get married because they actually dream that they can stay happy, but it usually doesn't work out because of all the unconcious expectations.
Women
Well women usually get married because of the whole white house picket fence thing, they want kids, they won't give you sex after you get married so you are better off cutting your dick off cause you won't use that anymore. Also a women usually wants to get married because if she is over 30 she will not have a chance to have a baby.
You get tricked when you get married, because if your a guy have to have sex with the same women and the same thing goes to women she has to deal with a guy that is isn't clean or is just lazy and that always causes problems.
See when a guy is with a women the sex is better because she knows that there are no strings attached and the guy can leave. Same thing with the guy, he will care more, treat her better because he knows if he doesnt handle his business she will leave.

Because they want a companion in when they grow old. They want someone to share everything they have with. Because they think they love one another at the time they decided to get married.

Out of love, commitment, and devotion to the one special person in there life. To show that person that they want to spend the rest of ther life with them.

sometimes it's for material gain, sometimes it's for love, often it's infatuation that gets mistaken for love. sometimes it's for political reasons, other times lust- any number of things. my guess- and this is just a guess- is that people would have dozens of small reasons that add up to their decision.
