Diesel (in ny at least) cost more than gasoline but the average gasoline 6 cylinder car goes about 250-300 miles per tank
ive read about the 2005 MB E320 CDI going over 700 miles per tank and if you figure out the gas cost, CDI is actually cheaper..test drove the CDI at the love mercedes tour couple of years ago..if you roll down the windows it smells a little bit and when you floor the car its about half a second late compared to gas but its still a fast car 0-60 in like 6.5 or something like that
now the 2007-8 Mbenz E320 Bluetec, ML320 CDI, GL320 CDI, and the R320 CDI all goes over 600 miles per tank while the bluetec goes about 675

OK EVERYBODY I GO TO universal technical institute AND IN 2010 WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE LARGEST RELEASE OF DIESEL MOTORS EVER.
2010 Mercedes and Volvo and BMW and a few others are introducing a huge line of there diesels, i highly recommend buying one when they come out. i mean i myself hate diesel, but that's where the world is going.
all of the release have been around in Europe for years and they have been made to run better then gasoline engines.

Good choice, but your question is not clear. Dont you like diesel, or is it a bargain that u can buy? If it is a new car I would rather go with the BMW 320 diesel. Magic enjin and very economical with enough power. Does not even sound like a diesel

diesel are good and can be enviro-friencly and the maker german based mercedes is a top notch manufacturer, the down side would be insurance because its a mercedes, and parts, diesel parts are more expensive, and if its a newer car the key alone can cost 300+ because it has to be made and shipped from germany
